SAT was on this sat. And I bet you must be wondering isn't sat a sat? Why on earth do I have to say SAT was on this sat? If you are one of those thinking that way, then you belong to the same group as some of my friends who thought the same way as you do. Ignorant people.
SAT simply stands for Scholastic Aptitude Test. It's a college admission test for all students who are interested in enrolling into any universities in the US. Actually the reason of me taking it was supposed to be for my application to the university there. But apparently, they do not need it for transfer student. So there goes my 70SGD into waste. Anyway since I have already applied for the test, I decided to just go for it.
Maths was rather alright. I managed to finish all within the time limit. However, for the paper's English sections, which took up 70% of the paper, was hell to me. I just realised that my vocab sucks. I could not even be sure if I was right with most of the questions. Time was also a factor of concern as I found myself struggling for time to finish up the English sections.
Essay was horrendous. I managed to write 3 paragraphs of 'planned' sentences but the ideas were not much developed. It was merely ideas that came right to the top of my mind when I finished reading the essay question. Hopefully they were looking for different things from what O level markers want. If not, I would say I had did badly for the Essay section.
Now, let you have a guess when did I started studying for the test?? hmmm....
Well, I only started the day before the test. To be exact, I only spent half the day studying for it. Great job to my last minute studying... zzzz.
Anyway the whole process of taking the paper was so so so taxing. It lasted for almost 4 hours with 3 5-minutes break in between. I swear it was the longest and most unprepared paper I have taken. Who the hell would study for SAT 1 day before?? That's totally crazy. I don't even do this to my other tests in school.
I was rather glad the whole thing is now a thing of the past. Results will be out on 11th February 2010, which is 18 days from now. That's totally too fast. Just wish I could get at least 620 for all 3 sections. WISH... After the results are out then would I be applying for NUS and NTU, just in case I did achieve 620 for each of the sections, I can apply with that details in my applications too. heehee. =D
Time to do school work now. ESSP assignment would definitely be some sloppy work and will be submitted after the deadline. Oppz...
