For the past few days, I have been reading the posts that I have published in this blog. I recalled lots of wonderful, bad and loving memories that have been long forgotten. You would only know that you have grown up, able to think differently from years ago when you were just that young. You will realise that you were not the same YOU years ago. Who would not change as time pass? Even your hair colour will. (next time)
I have overcame many many obstacles and did many many things that I never imagined I would. Something to reminisce about, the events that have happened over the past 2 and a half years in SP...
1) Year 1, Semester 1: Fooling around during QNT lessons were indeed enjoying and fun. I believe 10 years down the road, we will still talk about that. (Remembering her everytime we create the 'tong, tong, tong' sound) QNT was the first lecturer in SP that we played on. Our very first common goal.
2) Year 1, Semester 1: My latest night out with my FOM group. We changed everything 2 days before the deadline. We also stayed overnight at McDonald's, the one nearby Bras Brasah, to rush our assignment. We managed to do it and got quite good grades for it. It's rather detailed. Don't believe? Ask Jowena. She got our copy of report!!!
3) Year 1, Semester 2: Then we always had some interesting conversations or maybe a little gossips during Maths lesson. I was rather glad that we had Ms Lee as our lecturer. The nickname 卖面包 in dialect "Ma Lo Ti" was also created during one of the lessons. There were laughter and some tears shed by 'M'. And after all these years, 2 years to be exact, we are still in contact with Ms Lee. =) She seemed more like a friend to me than a lecturer. O ya. And the times when we squeezed from her MPV to her smaller car. I sat on her baby chair in the car.
4) Year 1, Semester 2: Made a really tough decision as to take up diploma plus. And I DID!
4) Year 2, Semester 1: We had this crappy lecturer who taught us EM. He is going to teach us again for our final semester. Fun lessons in class with him. He definitely has a unique way of teaching us. ;) Know what I meant? Disappearing 1 hr earlier for a 2 hr lesson because we got no questions to ask him on our assignment. Haha.
5) Year 2, Semester 1: We had a common goal again. Who doesn't remember (drum rolls please) THE PINK PANTHER!! She was our RWPS (Report Writing and Presentation Skills) lecturer. I got a B for her damn module. zzzz. Anyway she is always picking on us because we don't listen during her lessons. We even sabotaged her when the director for CASS was there in the class evaluating her. We purposely arrived late for her lesson. An eye for an eye. Get what I meant? No wonder I got a B for this module. We had fun time building our 'GREAT WALL OF CHINA' until Chicken spoiled our plan. It was rather fun arguing our way through with her too. However, she is nowhere to be seen in the school now. Perhaps she had quit her job after teaching a bunch of us.
6) Year 2, Semester 1: Then there is "面包超人" and the clown. Lots of memories about them.
7) Year 2, Semester 2: We also had a face off with our VDG 2 teacher, Vincent, on our assignment grades. Whooo. The situation was really tense.
8) Year 2, Semester 2: Because of EM final assignment on xin.sg, we got a chance to present our findings to MEDIACORP's head of Chinese news. She was also in charged of the xin.sg webbie. But sadly, they did not use our recommendations. Anyway nevermind about that as how many people have the chance to do that? I was rather proud of that. =D We presented twice. Once in the school's conference room and the other time was in MediaCorp.
9) Year 2, Semester 2: Was asked to be the MC (Master of Ceremony) for some DBIT event. O gosh, that would be the very first and last time I am going to be a MC. It was a bit screwed up because the guest of honour arrived late and we had to help him delay time. But it was a life time experience. I told myself that I was definitely not suitable to be a MC and is not going to take up that role again. It takes really lots of practice and courage to stand up there and talk. Make some small little jokes to entertain them.
10) Year 2, Semester 2: Was asked to be the announcer for parents forum for the school. I was rather screwed up for that too. But if you were to ask me to choose between a MC or an announcer, I would definitely choose to be an announcer. Simply because the audience don't get to see your face. They just hear your voice. Something like a Deejay over the radio.
11) After Year 2, Semester 2's Holiday: Went for a 7 week overseas ITP (or attachment, some may call it) in Harbin. It's was another great experience. Living together on the same level with your friends, having them as neighbours. The times shared there were amazing. And everytime I hear this song, I will remember about Harbin. It's always on Channel V every morning.
Other then that, there was also this song that 伍佰 sang. Forgotten the name for the song. It's just horrible. Didn't know why they air it on Channel V. =_=
12) Year 3, Semester 1: Was asked to be the chairman for the bonding day. O gosh. The whole event did not turn out the way it was supposed to be. Plans were changed at the very last minute. But it did ended "successfully". Anyway, I was pleased I found out the real "GHOST". She was simply unbearable.
13) Year 3, Semester 1: Was asked to film for the DMIT video. See the post that was posted 2 entries ago. It was a little failure because some say I look a little nerdy in it. O my. Do I really look nerdy?
14) Year 3, Semester 1: I had the busiest and toughest days of my life. I still remembered there was a week where we had to submit 5 assignments, namely MCOM, DI, DAUD, SEMP and ETH. They were like all crammed together. I didn't sleep on one of the nights and was totally tired. But I stayed on till 8pm the next night before I am down. After waking up the next morning at 6am, we still had to complete 3 more assignments. Worked, worked, worked on the assignments. Finally, submitted 2 and there was this dip plus assignment which I have not done. I only managed to submit it at 10pm. I was very glad that everything was OVER!!!
15) Year 3, Semester 2: Even way before the semester starts, I have realised that "Ghost" is going to be involved in our FYP project (Cisco, yea it's them)!!! It was really a big blow to us and we pleaded for a change. Nothing changed in the end. Reason being: "Who never heard of them before?" Now we are faced with a project that we didn't liked or enjoyed doing at all. But anyway, that's fate. You've got to accept it. They expect us to draw out a storyboard for them to see. We are doomed. Everyone can draw including me. But don't expect a nicely drawn storyboard when all I can draw are badly drawn stick men and nothing else. =x
16) Year 3, Semester 2: A big blow came along the way while I was checking the module information of ADBMS. It's regarding our group mates. There are only 5 people taking the same module as us. (boon and me) And I am 100% sure the part time lecturer would want us to group together to work on the assignments coming our way in weeks. It should be fine but then the personality of 2 of them is ... They skipped lessons, don't do their work and have lots of crappy problems. Perhaps fate is just trying to test our skills on how to handle difficult peers when doing project. Great one!
Thinking of it, I have actually gained different kinds of experience. From teasing some of our lecturers, being friend with them, getting to present for MediaCorp, being a MC, announcer and all the way to being on video for the school. It brings a smile onto my face. What I am short of now is going for some national level competitions.
That's all for now. This is the longest post I have typed in months. And they do bring back lots of memories if you have been through it with me. Hooray for our friendship...

Now to side track a little bit...
I have finished one of the Hong Kong drama Series: When Easterly Showers Fall on the Sunny West. It was rather a weird name but anyway, the storyline is not bad. Ending was a little sudden.
Decided to concentrate on my FYP project next semester and nothing else. 9 credit unit is a lot.
Tata.
