DMIT promo video and Chalet

Some big video production to shock the hell out of your life. I was asked to film in the DMIT (School of Digital Media and Infocomm Technology) Promotional video and the outcome is here…



Tata… The first thought I had in my mind was. Oh my god!! My English sounds so horrible and weird. Horrible English I had. Didn’t pronounce the words accurately. But on another note, my face appeared in the video thrice. 1st is at the start of the video, 2nd is around 3/4 of the video and lastly is at the ending of the video. There is always a start and an end to everything. It applies the same for my face in the video. =)

Chalet was not so fun yet not so boring too. Listed below are the activities that we have done during the chalet.
1) Bowling which caused me a broken nail on my right hand’s forth finger
2) Inline Skating
3) Drinking
4) BBQ – The head chef was definitely a horrendous cook. No wonder he can’t be a cook. However it was rather fun to have Chun and Old Friend (GML) with us.
5) Arcade

I have also decided to apply for the scholarship after some thoughts and words of wisdom. Below is our conversation.

C says:
on a more serious note . . . you need to really consider applying for scholarships. i think you're more than capable of getting it.

I say:
haha

C says:
and i'm not flattering you so i can borrow money or anything.

I say:
really ah
?
hmmm

C says:
it'll be well worth the effort.

I say:
my parents asked me to apply for it too

C says:
the experience, and the different style of education (which i prefer over singapore's).
see . . . your parents have a point.

I say:
haha

C says:
focus on the task at hand . . . which is the education and the learning experience.
don't worry about the bond.

I say:
but they offer u great uni too
haha

C says:
and even if you do come back and serve them for a few years, it's not a dead end.

I say:
they listed out all the universities during open hse
most were top uni

C says:
well, if you ever need advise on which university to pick, feel free to call me.
just remember that an education isn't just about books.
or grades.
it's about the entire experience.

I say:
haha ok

C says:
and trust me . . . the quality of lecturers makes a huge difference. then again, you should've figured that out by now. :)
okay, i gotta run.

Hopefully my decisions don't change until the application dates of the scholarship. Perhaps he is right after all.

But before that, there will be many things to prepare for the interviews, SAT test and all the way to admissions.

I got myself covered for my driving lessons which amounts up to $1000, my running shoes and my iPhone from the ang pao money I have saved up on and the work this holiday. It was pathetically about $1000 bucks when you have to work 8 days week and 8 hours per day. But on the other hand, I do take leave a day or two and arrive a little late for work some days. =) Wee.

Holidays' gonna end real soon.

Some caution of words: You will start to talk rubbish and can't think right when you are half sober.
