My Ambition

This week was rather boring. i stayed at home most of the time, watching dramas. watching new dramas from another new country. JAPAN!!

I have finished 1 series and is halfway through the 2nd one.

The one i had finished watching was:
Attention Please(2006)
Total episodes: 11 + 2 SP

About a rock star who turned cabin attendent. most people thought it was rather impossible for her to do that. but she eventually did. what i like about the show is the training process of her turning into a cabin attendent. perhaps it's because of her hack-care attitude and not being sensitive to those around her that always got her into lots of troubles.

i guess the role would not have been that interesting if it wasn't for ueto aya who acted as yoko misaki. she acted real well in the drama. pissing people off with her attitude and all up to mischief. however, i still like maya miki, who acted as the instructor of misaki, better because she acted as though she was a real cabin attendent herself. the way she talks, acts, stands and the style. totally like a real one.

to be truthful, my ambition when i was young, was to become a cabin attendent. i think they have a great job because they are able to fly all over the world for travel and the most important thing of all was that it was FREE. you do not have to pay for your air tickets and can get to the place. after long distance flights, cabin attendents will also be given a 2 to 3 days break where they can 'explore' that particular country they are in. isn't that great?? furthermore, i used to think that they were so cool as they are able to walk up and down the narrow aisle of the plane and serve passengers with food and drinks.

but of course, they will also have to be responsible crews in times of emergency. they will have to ensure the safety of everyone onboard and lots of other things. it's quite a tedious job too. and also not forgetting, cleaning up the toilet when they are in a mess by the inconsiderate act of some passengers.

if not because of me being vertically inclined, i may take up the job of being a cabin attendent. but then, i have to agree with some people that your ambition might not be the job you will be able to perform best. sometimes, you might perform even better with the jobs you don't like...

anyway i have stopped daydreaming and is facing the reality. haha. no more job of being a cabin attendent but maybe having to work in the field related to IT or Business... that's the reality.. or perhaps working in that field but in an airline company??

well, who knows the future now??

2nd series i m watching now is nodame cantabile. something related to music. galileo looks nice after some reviews by ql. haha. but seriously, i think japanese drama is too short as compared to my usual HK dramas.

JDrama: 11 or 12 episodes at the most
HKDrama: 20 or even 40 episodes.

lastly, cherish your holidays. it's ending real soon. we are only left with a week of holidays!!!
