hello everyone, i am back from batam yesterday.. however, because i am too tired, when i got home, i took my bathe and went to bed.. haha..

this morning, i was supposed to have my chemistry lesson from 8 to 9.30am (so damn early).. was supposed to be waking up the latest by 7am but i woke up at 7.15am.. haha.. somehow, i got the skills to get myself prepared within 15 minutes.. and by 7.30am, i am off to the MRT station in my dad's car.. reached bedok at 8am and by the time i reached the lab, it was already 8.10am.. the best thing was i was with a group of my friends whom i met at the traffic light near the school.. haha.. most of them were unable to wake up on time because we went for the batam trip yesterday.. but the really bestest thing out of the best thing was that we were not the latest.. there were a few more people even later than us.. haha.. okay now lets get onto an exciting journey.. back trekking to the batam trip yesterday..

although the trip was quite a tiring one, but it was an exciting, interesting and most importantly fun one.. brought lots of things back with just $50 singapore dollars.. things such as crackers, chips, sourveniers, 2 sudoku books and a real POLO TEE from Ralph Lauren.. for how much??? 30 BUCKS sgd.. cheap isn't it?? however, the one i have bought was for my sister and i had no more money to buy another 1 for myself.. anyway just treat that as a birthday gift for her.. haha.. i don't have to pay for the gift myself but i have to go a long journey there to buy it.. it was a 45 minutes to an hour journey.. anyway here are some of the pictures taken over there..

On board the ferry, Asean Raider 1..

Me, Tania, Bernice..

Kelvin, Arsyad, Me and Tania

Few people who are sitting around me.. most of the people were sitting in the lower deck which was air-conditioned.. however, we are on the upper deck feeling the sea breeze..

Harris Resort.. Its a resort owned by some Singaporean businessmen and Indonesian businessmen.. Its a 4 star hotel.. The rooms are quite big..

This was the hotel reception counter where people check in the hotel and check out of them too.. i think what the hotel should improve on was to install air-conditioners.. they don't have it in the hotel lobby.. they only have fans..

This is a mosque next to the school over that 'village'.. quite new.. perhaps its newly built..

This is the school.. so old and it seems like it might be blown away anytime.. however they are too poor.. we all donated $1 sgd each to buy some stationeries (is it spelt like that??) for them..

These are the guys whom are studying in the school.. as the tour guide has mentioned, some even poorer school don't even have school uniforms to be worn to school..

These are some of the little boys playing near the school..

This was the place were we take our seafood lunch.. it doesn't taste really delicious but it was still acceptable.. I was so hungry that i gobbled up all the food which came into my sight.. haha.. =X

These are the foods which are served.. can you see the deep fried prawns (its size is super small), CHILLI CRABS (only 3 people ate that.. i am one of them), 2 small fish, kangkong, some sotongs and shells which i have never seen before..

They looked as if they were forced to pose in front of the camera.. heehee.. its not the case.. everyone drank coke there.. see cs face.. he is showing the yummy yummy face..

This was taken before the food is eaten.. (some had already been eaten) =X

This is the aftermath of the foods eaten away by hungry people!! haha see.. only 3 people eat the crab so there are still so much left over.. the crab is hermit crab.. not nice to eat because it has so little meat..

After lunch was shopping and shopping at different places.. however maximum shopping time?? 20 minutes.. not exciting at all.. haha.. by 4.30pm, everyone were already onboard the ferry which is going back to Singapore.. grr.. what a short trip.. how i wish it was a 3 days 2 nights trip..

On board the ferry, Asean Raider 2..

This was taken when we are on our way back to S'pore from Indonesia.. Those chocolate sticks are opened at the seafood resturant and finished onboard the ferry.. its a big tube.. aren't we big eaters??

what i was really disappointed was the really SHORT shopping time we all had.. they should have more time to shop. the schedule was really tight.. everyone were like hurrying us.. what i was surprised to know is that the Indonesian immigration officers were really corrupted.. it was my 1st visit there and some of them wanted money from my friends.. shouldn't reveal too much here in case i am caught by the government.. haha.. =) Anyway the trip was damn fun with friends all around you, chatting about this and that.. what i was really pissed off with was the Singaporean tour guide, who tried to scold everyone of us the 1st time we saw HER.. horrible women.. however, she can speak quite good english.. the male tour guide, who was a local there could actually speak english.. haha.. over there, i think his english standard will be terrific but not over here.. anyway he could speak 4 different languages.. as he is a chinese, he could speak chinese which sounded like China people (those really standard ones), english, java and his own indonesian malay (different from S'pore malay).. the good news was that, Batam is not as scary as it seems to be.. Perhaps i will be going back there for my december holidays.. its quite a relaxing place in the resort itself.. cya.. back to studying!!!
